1. Wanted 2
Universal PicturesThere is arguably no comic book movie less deserving of a sequel than Wanted. Not because the comic itself is bad, or because the movie was downright terrible, but because there is arguably nobody on Earth who is really all that bothered about seeing it. Chances are that you don't know a single human being who would get excited at the announcement of Wanted 2 - even if they thought (as everybody did) that the first film was "fairly okay." And yet this thing is apparently in development, with a few scripts floating around as recently as last month. The studio, Universal, are presumably keen to make the follow-up because the first installment did fairly well at the box office, pulling in a cool $341 million on a $75 million budget (teenage boys were assumedly pulled into the theatre on the promise of glimpsing Angelina Jolie's bare bottom). Still, six years have passed since the first film came out, and despite the fact that there is good material to mine in the Wanted comic series, a sequel feels somewhat irrelevant. Can't we spend the same money on a reboot of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen?
