10 Upcoming Comic Book Villains Hollywood Will Probably Ruin

1. Apocalypse - X-Men: Apocalypse

The Villain: Apocalypse is one of the big ones, an ancient, immortal mutant who can re-arrange his molecular form at will, transforming into practically anything he wants and developing any power he can think of. Oh, and he can fire energy, use telepathy and interface with any technology, he's a science genius, master strategist and his blood can even heal mutants. What more could you want? Why He'll Be Ruined: For one, the character's look is incredibly silly, even for the rather forgiving standards of the comic book movie, with the running joke being that Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse resembles Ivan Ooze from the 1995 Power Rangers movie (though in actual fact, Apoc is only purple here because of the lighting). Plus, there's the fact that he just doesn't look threatening and imposing enough: Apocalypse is meant to be a huge, larger-than-life character, but here he looks only a few inches taller than Psylocke (Olivia Munn), as though he's just a regular villain. Granted, many ragged on Quicksilver's look in Days Of Future Past and he ended up stealing the show, but until we see more footage of Apoc in action, it's worth tempering your expectations for this one. Which upcoming comic book villains do you most suspect Hollywood will ruin? Shout them out in the comments!
