The Villain: Baxer Stockman is a sociopathic, mad scientist who invented the Mousers (robots he created to destroy sewer rats), teamed up with both Shredder and Krang on occasion, and in the animated series, even ended up being turned into a grotesque man-fly hybrid. Why He'll Be Ruined: Regardless of whether the movie sticks to the darker comic book version of Stockman or opts for the sillier, cartoonish version of, well, the cartoons, there's one major hurdle here: Tyler Perry. Yes, Perry surprised everyone with his stunning turn in last year's Gone Girl, but which is more likely; that a fluke, or Perry will give audiences a definitive live-action portrayal of Stockman worth remembering? Then there's the fact that last year's Turtles movie didn't exactly show much faithfulness to the source material, rewriting both April's and the Turtles' backstory, while completely changing Vernon Fenwick's character into a creepy perv who kept lusting after April. With that in mind, it's safest not to expect an accurate portrayal, but rather a mish-mash of whatever the filmmakers want to include along with a few of their own zany ideas. Whether Perry can make sense of it or not is anyone's guess...
