It's becoming easier and easier these days to be more cynical about stuff we've never seen, mainly because we're given so much information about upcoming movies that we tend to know what's in store before we actually sit down to watch them. This is both a curse and a blessing, of course; on one hand, it stops us from spending our money on movies that are going to turn out terribly... but then there's that age old saying, "don't judge a book by its cover," and the feeling that we're all too quick to jump to conclusions in this modern era, what with the endless teasers, trailers, viral materials, advertising campaigns, posters, competitions, and exclusive screenings... So whereas it's probably wrong to have preconceived notions about absolutely anything, knowing what we know about the following 10 upcoming blockbusters - all set for release across the span of 2014 - it's rather hard to conjure up any positive feelings. That's not to say that the following movies will be terrible - it's just that, as is the case with the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man 2, there are either too many negative connotations or factors associated with the production, or what we've seen so far looks so questionable, that it's hard to be positive. Of course, judgments aside, we'd absolutely love it if any one of these motion pictures endings up proving us entirely wrong...
