10 Upcoming Film Sequels And Reboots That Nobody Wants (But Will Make Money Anyway)

It’s been more than a decade since the last entry in this franchise, and the idea of a haunted videotape isn’t as credible as it was when The Ring Two hit multiplexes in 2005. After being parodied in the Scary Movie series, is there any life left in the franchise?

Paramount Pictures believes there is, and following the disappointing box office returns for Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, they’ve ditched that series in favour of continuing the story of Samara, the long-haired ghost with a serious vitamin deficiency. Fans got a glimpse of what’s in store when a trailer was screened at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

On a plane, a man informs a fellow passenger that after watching the videotape he received a call saying that he would die in 7 days. When he reveals he watched the tape 6 days, 23 hours and 55 minutes ago, the plane encounters turbulence, the cockpit flight instruments go crazy, dark liquid bubbles up out of a toilet etc etc.

Don't know about you, but that sounds more like a parody than a horror film. You can find out if such judgment is premature when the film opens this Halloween.
