10 Upcoming Films You'll See Even If The Reviews Are Terrible

9. Prometheus 2

Release Date: 4th March, 2016. What's It About: The first Prometheus ended with Noomi Rapace's Shaw leaving LV-223 along with the decapitated android David on the hunt for the Engineers, our enigmatic creators, in search for answers. Expect the sequel to pick up shortly after, shedding light on some of the original's questions. The Prometheus project, which began life as a straight prequel to Alien, was at one point planned to be told over two parts, so it's probable there'll be some expansion on the events of the first film built into the narrative, along with a closer tie to the sci-fi-horror original. Why You'll See It: People who've seen Prometheus fall into two camps; those who enjoyed the film and those who were frustrated that it didn't provide any form of answer to the big questions it posed. The sequel does need to work hard to win the latter back, although most will probably see it anyway with the hope that they'll get some form of resolution. With Damon Lindelof, the writer of the original and recipient of much fan anger, officially off the project, that seems a strong possibility.
