10 Upcoming Horror Movies That Are Already Doomed

Zach Cregger enjoyed a solid solo debut (away from Trevor Moore) with Barbarian (pictured), offering up a tripartite horror movie that subverted audience expectations at every turn, and while it wasn't perfect it did leave us keen to see what he comes up with next.

Well, that would be Weapons, which is set to be a sprawling horror epic that operates, at least on a character level, in the same vein as Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia. So far, so good.

Unfortunately, the film has suffered from a spate of delays due to the writers' strike and a bit of production and release date juggling, pushing it ever farther into the future. This is the primary reason it lost its central star, Pedro Pascal, as he had to jump ship due to commitments with Disney and Marvel to play Reed Richards in the new Fantastic Four movie, putting the stability and credibility of Cregger's picture at stake.

Weapons sails uncertain seas at the moment, and any further delays could wreak havoc with the schedules of the rest of the cast, which includes another star signed on to Fantastic Four, Julia Garner, as well as MCU regular Benedict Wong.
