Taking its cue from real-life Vatican reports that detail a rise in demonic possession, The Devil's Light takes place in a fictional counterpart to one of the real world exorcism schools that such reports spawned.
While exorcisms are traditionally performed exclusively by priests, Sister Ann is empowered to follow her calling. Under the mentorship of a professor, who senses Sister Ann's gift, she is allowed to observe the priests and to be educated in the ritual of exorcism. However, attempts to hone her macabre gift put Sister Ann and her soul in great peril. The demonic presence that stalks the school has mysterious ties to Sister Ann's past promising an intense showdown between good and evil.
