3. Bad Boy
Who among us doesn't love a horror movie that just straight-up wears its gimmick on its sleeve? All the more so if it's something blindingly unique.
That's absolutely the case with Bad Boy, which takes place from the perspective of a terrier dog who comes to realise that his owner (Ke Huy Quan) is a serial killer and so tries to help rescue his latest intended victim (Lili Reinhart).
As horror movie setups go, that sounds both fiercely original and totally adorable, and to sweeten the deal even more, Travis Braun's script previously made it onto the Hollywood Black List of best unproduced screenplays.
Between all this and two talented human leads in Quan and Reinhart, the potential speaks for itself, though the toughest task will surely involve casting the real star of the show: the focal canine.
Bad Boy is set to start filming in August presumably for a 2026 release, and it can't come soon enough.
