2. Emilia Clarke - Veranke
By the looks of it, the Secret Invasion Disney+ series is going to be huge, with Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, and Don Cheadle all reprising their existing MCU roles, while among others, Emilia Clarke will also appear in a currently undisclosed role.
There's been intense speculation about who Clarke might be playing, but back in March MyTimeToShineHello stated that the Game of Thrones actress would be portraying none other than Veranke.
Veranke is the Skrull Queen and ultimate antagonist of the Secret Invasion comic, where she assumed the guise of Spider-Woman while working for Nick Fury and secretly spearheading a Skrull invasion of Earth.
As such we can reasonably expect Clarke to be playing a seemingly benevolent human character who is later revealed to be Queen Veranke in the show's big twist.
Given that Secret Invasion's central conceit will be about the Skrulls' ability to covertly infiltrate and subvert society at large, it makes total sense for the Big Bad to be played by an actress as fresh-faced and heroic-looking as Clarke.
