10 Upcoming Movie Cameos You Don't Know About

7. Antonio Banderas - The New Mutants

The New Mutants is one of the most infamously troubled productions of the last five years, with principal photography having been completed almost exactly two years ago.

Since then, the film's planned re-shoots never happened, and with the Disney-Fox merger effectively putting Fox's X-Men franchise on ice, it was reportedly decided to re-edit the film to exclude references to any existing X-Men movies. Oof.

And so, assuming his role wasn't a casualty of these cuts, Antonio Banderas was reported long ago to have filmed a post-credits cameo as an unnamed antagonist, who would presumably be set to appear in a proposed sequel.

This is after a cameo was originally filmed with Jon Hamm as Mister Sinister, yet for unknown reasons, a decision was made to replace Sinister with a new villain.

While it's certainly possible that Banderas' cameo could be cut due to the obvious lack of pay-off it can possibly have in the future, hopefully Fox will figure they've already sunk the money paying him, so may as well include his scene in the film regardless...whenever it comes out.
