10 Upcoming Movie Performances Doomed To Fail

8. Kevin Spacey - Peter Five Eight

Unsurprisingly, not many movie studios are in too much of a rush to offer Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey a chance to reignite his career on the back of the star being accused of sexual misconduct on a number of occasions, and recently pleading not guilty to four charges of sexual assault.

But the folks behind incoming thriller Peter Five Eight clearly still had no problem giving the accused actor a platform to perform on, with Spacey set to take on the role of the flick's villain despite the sea of controversy surrounding the publicly shamed star.

Also, the film's producers have gone out of their way to bizarrely claim that the decision to announce the actor being charged with the aforementioned assaults was "timed" as a way to derail the project.

One quick look at the project that debuted at Cannes recently's trailer tells the story of a feature that was doomed long before Spacey's charges were made public, however, with Spacey's presence jarring throughout and the entire tale feeling like the sort of straight to VOD nonsense nobody will be desperately going out of their way to consume.
