6. Kick-Ass

Based on the comic series, the first Kick-Ass film came out in 2010 and changed the world.

A black comedy set in a superhero world, the film quickly developed a cult following, and a sequel was released three-years later. Kick-Ass 2 was not as well-received. Chloƫ Grace Moretz, who played Hit Girl, said she wasn't interested in a spin-off or a Kick-Ass 3.

Why It Might Work:

Matthew Vaughn, the director of the original film, is said to be on-board to direct the reboot. The original film was developed at the same time the comic was written and because of this, they each explore a similar story in different ways, with different characterizations.

Since then, the comic book series has continued, including the introduction of a new Kick-Ass series in 2018, starring a war vet and single mother. Whether the reboot decides to explore the new comic series, it will have the advantage of a wide array of source material to pick and choose from.

West loves pop culture, movies, comics and TV-shows just as much as you do. Probably. Since you're reading this. Also, she has a cat. He's pretty awesome.
