10 Upcoming Movie Remakes That Must Be Stopped

9. The Wild Bunch

Remember Wild Wild West? Remember when you saw that and decided on the spot that you'd never watch Will Smith in a western again on the basis that Wild Wild West is one of the worst crimes ever committed against the medium of cinema? And now Will Smith wants to get his cheesy grin all up in a remake of a Sam Peckinpah classic? Well, no, actually, Will Smith: nobody wants this to be remade, and nobody wants to see you involved in it. Stay away, you hear? So, yes, Hollywood has been trying to remake The Wild Bunch for a while now, and as of very recently it's being banded around as a potential vehicle for The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. There's no director or screenwriter attached yet, but apparently the studio is searching. The worst thing about this potential remake is that Hollywood is looking to update it to the modern day, with DEA agents and Mexican drug cartels and whatnot. Which essentially defeats the point of it being a remake in the first place, because the original film is a western set in 1913 featuring a plot about a group of outlaws on one last score. Shut it down!
