10 Upcoming Movie Remakes That Will Piss Everyone Off
5. Scarface
1983's Scarface will probably go down as one of the best remakes ever made, with a lot of people forgetting that there was an original film in 1932. It remains Al Pacino's most recognisable performance as Tony Montana going from penniless immigrant to overlord of a drugs empire, remaining one of the best and bloodiest films in history.
A remake of the film has been in the works since 2011, going through various phases including amalgamating both versions of the film, then one set in modern day which likely would have caused no end of controversy, then a version starring Diego Luna, one written by the Coen Brothers, etc.
Films trapped in development hell rarely release to a good reception, and with Scarface, it's looking like a case of too many cooks chopping the broth's arm off with a chainsaw.
