10 Upcoming Movie Sequels Nobody Wants

4. Frozen 3

Typically, Disney Animation has had little to no luck or success when it comes to sequels to its big blockbusters. The likes of The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Mulan, Hercules, Aladdin, Cinderella, Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid, and more have all had second outings, sometimes more, and none of them have been any good.

Arguably the biggest exception to this is Frozen. While many of the previously mentioned sequels were direct-to-video, under-the-radar releases, Frozen 2 managed to join the billion-dollar club, out-grossing its predecessor in the process.

A third trip to Arandelle may well result in another cash cow for Disney, but is there really any more story to tell with Elsa and Anna? The former has left the Kingdom to embrace her powers in the enchanted forest, while the latter is now the Queen. It feels like that's the end of that.

Disney Animation has also produced some wonderful original movies over the last decade or so, with the likes of Moana, Encanto, Zootopia, and others producing genuinely great stories. Instead of going back to Frozen yet again, wouldn't it be far more interesting to invest heavily in more original stories?
