2. Iron Man's Death Is In The Trailer - Avengers: Infinity War

This would be a bold gamble on the part of Marvel Studios, but there's growing suspicion among MCU fans that the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War may have included the death of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), cleverly hidden in plain sight.

Note that when Thanos (Josh Brolin) punches Iron Man square in the face, he collapses to the floor and goes completely limp, so at the very least he's been knocked unconscious, which would be an epic statement in of itself.

But considering how much Marvel Studios loves to toy with audience expectations in their marketing - remember the Mandarin in Iron Man 3's trailers? - how glorious would it be for them to include a major character death upfront?

It'd be a clever way to catch audiences off-guard, because they'll be expecting Iron Man to recover from the attack and fight back, but he's just dead in one punch. It'd be an absolutely jaw-dropping surprise, and could end Infinity War on one hell of a cliffhanger if it's part of the movie's finale.
