10 Upcoming Movies Destined To Bomb At The Box Office
5. Firestarter
Universal's commitment to adapting Stephen King stories for the big screen is set to hit a major second wind in the coming years, and Keith Thomas's remake of 1984's Firestarter is set to kickstart it.
Though a case could be made that the film will fare well at the box office, thanks to Zac Efron's starring turn and the success of recent King hits like IT, the trailer has left it looking frighteningly underwhelming and derivative.
On top of that, the horror is set to release alongside Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, the latest MCU project that's almost guaranteed to drown out every movie around it, just like Spider-Man: No Way Home recently did.
Much like fellow King remakes Pet Sematary and IT: Chapter Two, Firestarter looks like it'll be forgotten quickly without making much noise.
