10 Upcoming Movies NOBODY Actually Wants To See
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
While the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies from the 90s are considered classics by some fans of the characters, the heroes in a half shell have never fared particularly well off television. The Michael Bay produced films were every bit as dumb as Transformers, and left a bad taste in the mouth which means the desire to see yet another reboot is damn near non-existent.
Despite that, a new animated movie is in the works with Seth Rogen and his Point Grey Pictures partners Evan Goldberg and James Weaver on board. Gravity Falls director Jeff Rowe will helm the project from a script by Brendan O’Brian (Neighbors: Sorority Rising).
While Rogen and his producing partners have produced some incredible hits in recent years, they're an unlikely fit for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, and it's hard to imagine what is often either stoner or R-Rated humour blending well with this iconic foursome.
Perhaps they're all huge fans and this will finally do the character justice on the big screen, but returning to yet another familiar (arguably stale) franchise rather than telling a new story feels like typical Hollywood at this stage, and it's hard not to be sceptical.
