10 Upcoming Movies That Are Already Getting Oscar Buzz

1. Untitled Paul Thomas Anderson Project

The new Paul Thomas Anderson film is so highly anticipated that it's being tipped for a Best Picture nomination despite not even having a title yet. But in a very real sense, audiences already have all the information they need to know that this film is most likely going to be a critical darling.

First (and perhaps most obviously) is the fact that the film will be written and directed by acclaimed auteur Paul Thomas Anderson, who created such films as Boogie Nights and There Will Be Blood.

Which, speaking of, leads us to the second major reason why it's already getting attention. He will reunite with his oil-drilled, milkshake-drinking, triple Oscar-winning leading man, Daniel Day-Lewis. And like, who isn't excited about that?

Scant information is available about the film (including, for example, its name), but it seems to revolve around a 1950s dressmaker who designs clothes for the royal family and other members of high society. Also, Lesley Manville is slated to co-star, and she has the incredible combination of always making every film she appears in a little bit better and never seeming to pick bad projects.

Which of these movies are you most looking forward to seeing? Share yours below in the comments thread.
