Release: June 12th, 2015 The Pitch: Despite the wayward silliness of Jurassic Park 3, Universal have recognised that there is potential to wring money out of John Hammond's dino-vision. It'll be bigger, it'll be starry and there will be new, stupidly-named dinosaurs... The Punch-Line: If the gene-splicing and dino-training elements sound familiar, it's because they're both taken from ridiculous, half-forgotten pieces of the Jurassic Park franchise. First up, the abandoned Jurassic 4 pitch had genetic tinkering as a major arc (though mercifully, Jurassic Work is avoiding adding in human DNA), and Jurassic Park 3 teased the idea that velociraptors could be reasoned with. Apparently the baffled reactions to both were entirely ignored, and Universal are using their biggest star as the 'raptor commanding fall-guy.
