10 Upcoming Movies That Might Already Be Doomed

5. Indiana Jones 5

If you believe Disney, Indiana Jones 5 really is happening now, after languishing around in development hell for more than a decade.

No matter what you made of the fourth film, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the most pointed resistance against Indy 5 notes that Harrison Ford will be 79 years old by the time filming begins - assuming it shoots later in 2021 as planned, that is.

Ford may be in spry shape for his age, but the nimble requirements of Indiana Jones must surely be beyond him by this point, leaving many to assume the film will shepherd him into a back-seat supporting role while passing the torch to a new swashbuckling hero.

Though director James Mangold seems like a solid replacement for Steven Spielberg and Phoebe Waller-Bridge's recent casting as the female lead is intriguingly left-field, this just feels like a project that's more than a few years too late.

All in all it's just tough to picture how the film will work in a way that leaves fans satisfied, and with the script still being hashed out by Mangold and co-writers Jez and John-Henry Butterworth, there's every chance the project is delayed yet again.
