3. Only The Brave - Taylor Kitsch

There's definitely no happy ending to Only The Brave for the majority of its characters: it's a disaster movie at its heart chronicling the heroism and untimely deaths of an elite crew of firefighters who battled the Yarnell Hill Fire in 2013 that claimed the lives of 19 members of them.

Taylor Kitsch is likely to be one of the tragic victims (since it's fairly well established that Miles Teller is the lone survivor of his crew), and should the film manage to avoid the temptation for melodrama (Joseph Kosinski should be more than capable as director), it has the potential to be emotional, explosive and gripping.

This is the kind of dramatic environment that should prove that Kitsch genuinely has more acting chops than he's shown in the likes of Battleship in the past, and along with his starring role in Paramount mini-series Waco (in which he plays David Koresh), it could form a double-header of transformative roles for him.
