10 Upcoming Movies That Will Change Your Mind About Actors

7. No Escape - Owen Wilson

Thanks to Liam Neeson's unlikely late career regenesis into an action hero (if playing the same role over and over actually qualifies that is), a number of improbable actors are putting their dukes up for meatier action roles.

Probably the most unlikely is Owen Wilson, who has spent most of the last 15 years making quirky or just plain terrible comedy movies. Yes, he has previous in Behind Enemy Lines, as well as a handful of action comedies, but he's hardly Vin Diesel. And the idea that he would be leading a Taken-esque actioner where he's forced to defend his family at all costs is odd to say the least.

If he pulls it off, he might well be adding another string to his bow that doesn't rely on being a second class (but more likeable) Vince Vaughn.

Will It Last?

Probably not, as he's got comedy heist Masterminds, which is likely to supplant him back into a more awkward role, and then Zoolander 2 is mincing its way along the catwalk.

But then, Neeson did say he thought Taken would be a one-off bomb, so you never know. Owen Wilson for Taken Too F4r, anyone?
