10 Upcoming Movies That Will (Probably) Tease Cinematic Universes

If there's an upcoming film that everyone's heard about, this is probably it. Until the first trailer for Cats dropped in July, the Sonic the Hedgehog marketing train took heavy fire from Twitter and the rest of the internet for its horrifyingly hilarious CGI to the point that the studio practically recalled the film for a redesign.

Yes, although the brakes have been pulled and the film delayed, there is little doubt that Paramount Pictures will try to salvage what they can and push a shared universe into existence. A Sega crossover between Sonic and Total War seems unlikely, as brilliantly bizarre that would be, so the natural next step would be to stretch the Sonic cast as far and wide as they could.

The obvious mid-credit scene tease would revolve around the introduction of fan-favourite Shadow the Hedgehog, setting up the sequel. Following that, Paramount could easily go no holds barred and throw out an edgier Shadow spin-off, as well as the much desired buddy-cop film with Knuckles and Tails as the leads.

As ridiculous as this may all sound, this speculation may not be too far from the truth, if the first film can survive the box office that is.
