10 Upcoming Movies-Turned-TV Shows To Watch After Westworld

The Film

Al Pacino as the charismatic, somewhat shouty version of Satan in human form. Keanu Reeves as the vapid, naïve young lawyer.

While hardly a stretch for either actor, this 1997 black-comedy from Taylor Hackford was a surprisingly enjoyable romp; largely thanks to Pacino in a role he was seemingly born to play.

The TV Show

It was announced back in 2014 that NBC had approved a pilot for the show, to be based largely on the premise of the original film. The idea of the devil in charge of a major New York law film presumably offering multiple directions in which to travel.

Will It Work?

It’s all gone a bit quiet of late. So we’ll have to see how this pans out. However, the original devil and the law premise was always an interesting one and made for a fun film, so there’s certainly potential.

On the other hand, fun and interesting films do not guarantee a successful TV show. See: Minority Report.
