The horror genre has made a killer out of practically everything imaginable over the years - even rubber freaking tires. But this new Canadian horror joint from filmmaker Elza Kephart decides to make its murderer of choice...a pair of sentient jeans.
Slaxx sees a pair of "smart jeans" - which are supposed to fit to any user's body type - coming to murderous life, indiscriminately slaughtering anyone who gets in its way.
Throw in some inventively gnarly kills and ripe social satire - both of which the acclaimed movie reportedly delivers - and you've got the recipe for one hell of an entertaining and totally original horror-comedy.
If "killer something" movies are inherently hit-and-miss by nature, here's one that seems committed to making the most of its shamelessly silly setup.
