The first two entries into Ti West's surprise slasher franchise - X and Pearl - certainly weren't loaded with names and faces. Sure, Mia Goth is the rising star of both, but the supporting names and faces were relatively modest for the most part.
Yet for the upcoming threequel MaXXXine, West has managed to rope in a ludicrous bevy of name actors, presumably off the back of X and Pearl's unexpected cult success.
In addition to Goth reprising the role of aspiring adult film star Maxine, she will be joined by Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, Giancarlo Esposito, and most surprisingly of all, Kevin freakin' Bacon.
Nobody could've pictured the series amassing such a celebrated ensemble of performers back when the first two films were quietly shot back-to-back in New Zealand in the middle of the pandemic for a mere $1 million each.
Needless to say, it's safe to assume that MaXXXine will be rocking a significantly larger budget to accommodate those star paychecks.
