Cinema's premiere weirdo, Crispin Glover, is back with his new film Mr. K, which in its aggressive weirdness is perhaps the most on-brand project imaginable for the eccentric performer.

All the same, given that Glover isn't exactly a commercially viable leading man, it's a shock to see him taking the lead role in a new movie.

Glover stars as the titular traveling magician who finds himself unable to locate the exit of the hotel he's staying in, prompting him to band together with the hotel's other residents in search of escape.

The film looks like a perfect fit for Glover, whose protagonist comes to believe the walls of the hotel are literally closing in upon him.

In this filmmaking economy, with Hollywood so allergic to original, off-the-wall ideas such as this, it seems like a minor miracle that something this peculiar exists, especially given that it's clearly been produced with a decent budget.
