10 Upcoming Movies You Won't Believe Are Real

Amy Adams is unquestionably one of the greatest actors of her generation, and generally associates herself with prestigious projects that court serious awards consideration.

But this December she'll star in Nightbitch, an adaptation of Rachel Yoder's novel in which a woman pauses her career to be a stay-at-home mother, only to start periodically transforming into a dog.

Yep, a dog, you read that right. It's one hell of a wild premise any way you slice it, and all the more so given that a performer as feted as Adams is starring in it.

If the logline sounds ripe for the exploitation B-movie treatment, Yoder's novel released to critical acclaim and this adaptation is being helmed by the talented Marielle Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood), so it's not outside the realm of possibility that Adams actually ends up courting genuine awards buzz for the role.

If nothing else, it'd simply be great to hear the word "Nightbitch" spoken on the Oscar podium.
