There hasn't been a Resident Evil movie since way back in 2012, and the world has been a far happier place as a result of that. Not a single chapter in the Resident Evil saga has been worth your time nor your money, so when it seemingly disappeared a couple of years ago and the talk of a further sequel faded, the general population cheered with delight and tried to pretend that there hadn't been - God, no - 5 movies. Sorry, everyone: Resident Evil is still clinging to life, like some decapitated zombie corpse that just won't stop wriggling no matter how many times you stamp on its head. Paul W.S. Anderson will return to that miserable excuse for a director's chair to helm what is being billed as "The Final Chapter," whilst his wife - Milla Jovovich - is set to reprise her role as Alice.
