10 Upcoming Sequels Nobody Asked For (That Might Be Great)

1. Jurassic World 3

When the first Jurassic World came out, lots of people thought it was very entertaining. They proved as much by pushing it past a billion at the box office and clamouring loudly for a sequel. Not a studio to disappoint or let a brand expansion opportunity pass them by, Universal announced two sequels and then threw all logic out of the window and made Fallen Kingdom, which might be the most disappointing sequel of the past few years.

And then, predictably, it made an astronomical amount of money ($1.3bn) despite being vastly inferior (probably off the back of the first film and a hugely aggressive marketing campaign more than anything). At that point, the diminishing critical response and increased fan criticism of the writing could have killed the franchise and nobody would have been all that bothered, but we were sort of locked in already. So it doesn't matter how scared you are that they'll make the third one even worse again.

That said, though, we've been told that the third movie will deliver a fitting end to the trilogy and hopefully there will be lessons learned from the first sequel and we'll get something closer to the nostalgic loveliness of the first Jurassic World. Maybe that's wishful thinking though.

Which of these sequels are you most excited by?
