10 "Upcoming" Sequels You Didn't Know Had Been Shelved

1. Die Hardest

It's A Sequel To: A Good Day To Die Hard (2013) After the terrible and unnecessary excuse for a sequel that was A Good Day To Die Hard, "superstar" Bruce Willis could be heard talking up what was then supposed to be the last movie in the Die Hard saga - a film that later came to be known as "Die Hardest" in all the reports, because they've run out of titles, apparently (what's wrong with "Die Hard 6"?) Die Hardest - with a proposed plot that would bring things full circle with the first movie, with detective John McClane travelling to Tokyo to attend a 30th anniversary celebration for his heroics at the Nakatomi Plaza - was originally slated for a 2015 release. But it's 2015 now, and there's no movie in sight. There's no IMDb listing, either. The last scrap of news regarding the project came in 2013, and there's been literally nothing since. Which pretty much points to one explanation: Die Hardest has been unofficially shelved. Given the the last film didn't do all that well at the box office, there's a good chance that it might never see the light of day, either. But that's probably a good thing, right? Right. What other "upcoming" sequels are never actually going to happen? Share any more down in the comments.
