Why It's Going To Fail: The first Smurfs film was absolutely terrible - aside from a faintly hilarious performance from Hank Azaria, who at least is returning for this film - but incredulously pulled in $563m at the box office. This sequel sounds incredibly desperate, somehow roping in pretty much all of the original live-action cast, while taking the action to Paris after Gargamel (Azaria) has Smurfette (Katy Perry) kidnapped by a group of Smurf-like creatures he has created. Set-pieces inevitably revolve around the Eiffel Tower - there's nothing here we haven't seen before.
