6. Alec Baldwin Glengarry Glen Ross
Glengarry Glen Ross is a brilliant movie, one that never quite received the universal attention it deserves. Based on a play about the colleagues of a real estate office (its more interesting than it sounds I swear), the cast is a gem Pacino, Spacey, Arkin, Lemmon and more. Now, I adore a good rant, especially an unprovoked one, and the rant performed by Alec Baldwin at the beginning of the movie is a step by step guide in how to degrade and humiliate a fellow human being. Baldwins slick haired, flashy character Blake from downtown, is one hell of a bastard, the kind of ruthless scumbag youd give anything not to work for. When asked his name, he bellows, F*** YOU THATS MY NAME. He throws out insults to men twenty years his senior, comparing the price of their cars to the cost of his watch. He makes them sit and listen for five minutes whilst he grills every component of their sales competency and skill sets. He even refrains from wishing them good luck in their next sales task, arguing, you wouldnt know what to do with it. And then, hes gone. Back downtown to wallow in his self centred, material matted existence. A bona fide corporate nutcase.
