10 Very Specific Weaknesses Suffered By Movie Characters

3. Cats (Imhotep)

Cat Mummy In life, Imhotep was an Egyptian priest and advisor to Seti I who would become a plague upon the Earth due to his actions. Having previously held the position of the High Priest of Osiris, Imhotep misused his powers to bring his deceased lover back to life and was punished to death by mummification while he was still alive as a consequence. Buried alive, Imhotep was cursed with the Hom-Dai and was resurrected twice, his curse nearly destroying the Earth and its people each time - on both occasions being stopped by Rick O'Connell and his associates. He was an extremely powerful being after his resurrection, possessing powers such as being able to transform himself into sand, being able to fly in the form of a sandstorm and having control over sand, water and wind. He was able to telekinetically move objects with his mind and he possessed superhuman strength and agility. He also possessed near limitless regenerative capabilities. However, his weakness was cats. He was terrified of them and the feline creatures made him flee at the mere sight of them - possibly because cats were guardians of the underworld and he thought they could send him there, or maybe because cats were worshipped as deities by the Egyptians and were considered holy, causing them to literally weaken him as he was an unholy being.
