10 Video Game Movies Better Than Warcraft

Few will attest that the recent Angry Birds movie is anything approaching a classic, but unlike most video game movies, it does at least capture the soul of the source material and display it proudly on-screen.

Yes, the games have a piecemeal plot and this is painfully evident in the film, but it's spritely, mildly amusing and delivers a barmy third-act full of the bird-launching madness you'd expect to see in a film like this.

Why It's Better Than Warcraft: Though it's fair to say that an Angry Birds film isn't anywhere near as ambitious as one adapted from Warcraft, it simply knows exactly what it is, accepts its limitations and delivers accordingly.

While it's easy to imagine many Warcraft fans seeing that movie and coming out disappointed, it's hard to accept many fans of the Angry Birds game emerging with anything less than their expectations satisfied.
