6. Sentry

The Sentry AKA Robert Reynolds might seem like a strange entry in this list, given that he's not actually a villain at all, but please bear with it. The hero - who could easily be introduced as a S.H.I.E.L.D. experiment in to improving the Super Solider Serum - played a key part in the Civil War. He was pro-registration and sided with Iron Man, but he didn't want any part in the actual physical conflict. That said, the devastation it caused forced his hand and he got involved to bring things to a climax. That's all well and good, but the Sentry also has a dark alter-ego called the Void. What happens if the event of Civil War were to ultimately bring out the Void and the only man who could stop it was Doctor Strange? He'd be the villain in the Doctor Strange movie of course! It's a long shot, but it's fun to theorise and it would definitely be interesting!
