10 Villains Daniel Bruhl Could Play In Captain America: Civil War

5. Nitro

Nitro was one of the main triggers for the Civil War in the comics, so it seems logical to include him in the movie. That said, he has no ties with Doctor Strange whatsoever, so it's unlikely that he'll be involved if indeed the villain Daniel Brühl is playing does go on to be the main antagonist in Strange's titular movie. His involvement in the start of the Civil War storyline occurred when the New Warriors - a group of young superheroes and the stars of a reality TV show - made a mess of an attempt to stop a group of supervillains in the hope of getting better television ratings. In the resulting fracas, Nitro used his explosive powers to destroy several city blocks, including an elementary school at the epicentre, resulting in the death of over 600 civilians - 60 of whom were children. Something like that would certainly work as a trigger for the Civil War in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the whole "not related to Doctor Strange" thing on top of the fact that the events of Age of Ultron are the likely trigger for the Civil War means his inclusion is unlikely - not impossible, but unlikely.
