Hes not really dead is he? Surely Spider-Mans biggest and best-known enemy isnt finished before he even started. It was a huge surprise to everyone when the Amazing Spider-Man 2 skipped over the Green Goblin and went straight to the Harry Osborne generation of glider riding, bomb-toting villain. Mark Webb has already confirmed that the head of the Osborne family is very much dead, but did leave room for manoeuvre. As well as this, actor Chris Cooper who plays Norman stated before the film that the second Amazing Spider-Man was just an introduction to his character. As well as all that is the odd scene of Normans death where we see him being scanned by some sort of machines, and the fact that a deleted scene from the movie involved his severed head being stored in a cryogenic unit. All of this seems to suggest that Osborne and his company might have a trick up their sleeve to bring back their figurehead in the future, possibly to take up Goblin mantle. Perhaps it will go the other way and see Norman become Venom, in a complete turn around of the Ultimate Spider-Man story we mentioned earlier, in which his son Harry becomes Venom.
