10 Villains Who Need To Appear In The MCU

1. Galactus

What happens when Marvel’s finest superheroes eventually topple Thanos, one of the most powerful beings in the entire universe? Do they go back to their normal crime-fighting lives to tell smaller, more personal stories, or do they team up to take on an implausibly larger threat? Going off Marvel’s track record, one would assume that a mixture of the two will take place – established franchises will keep ticking along, new ones will enter into the fray, and alliances will be formed in order to face up to an emerging danger.

When it comes to danger, they don’t come bigger or badder than Galactus, a cosmic super-being who literally eats planets for sustenance. I can’t think of a better reason for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to set aside their differences and team up than an all-powerful entity intent on consuming every last living thing in front of him.

Unfortunately, the rights to Galactus currently sit in the offices of 20th Century Fox, whose increasingly poor Fantastic Four movies seem to be serving as little more than an intellectual property deadlock, a way to stop Marvel Studios from using any names attached to the Fantastic Four brand.

The Devourer of Worlds did appear in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, although he was depicted as a swirling cosmic vortex, rather than a really tall guy with a big pink hat. Unless the powers that be over at Fox decide to sell Galactus back to Marvel, we won’t be seeing him in the MCY any time soon. It’d be a shame to see such a large and in charge character go to waste.
