10 Ways Back To The Future Would Look Completely Different In 2015

9. Re-Casting Marty McFly

Back To The Future 2015
Universal Pictures

Michael J. Fox was already a star by the time Back To The Future hit the big screen. His time as Alex P. Keaton on US TV show Family Ties established him as a household name in North America but the role of Marty McFly would take his career to a new level. Actually world-famous.

During casting Director Robert Zemeckis praised the actors fabulous sense of comedy timing and Executive Producer Steven Spielberg loved his dry approach to Alex in Family Ties. High praise.

Could any other actor play this fresh-faced wannabe rock-star who dreams of making-out with his girlfriend in the back of a pickup truck by a lake?

Sure, it's called acting.

Malcolm In The Middle star Frankie Muniz was born in 1985 (clever synergy) and still looks about 12. Small enough to fit inside the cockpit of a Google self-drive car and is a probably fan of dogs. And Hollywood drool-maker Ryan Gosling has his own band, the cheerily-titled Dead Man's Bones have been rocking out since 2007.

But wait... Who says Marty McFly has to be a boy? This is the movies, anything can happen. Margot Robbie is only 25 and having an attractive blonde lady behind the wheel of a DeLorean would set pulses racing all over the world. A time-travelling female?  Make it happen.
