Despite the abundance of other characters in the film, its essential that Marvel remembers this is first and foremost a Captain America film. Theyve said all the right things so far, assuring fans that theyre going to give him the focus and its important that theyre telling the truth, because failing to appropriate wrap up the character arc of Steve Rogers would be a huge mistake. To look back at how far hes come since the meek volunteer from The First Avenger is astounding and the film would be wise to remind us of that. Its even more essential to harken back to these moments since his still-recovering relationship with Bucky figures to play a massive role in the film. This is also so important because Tony Stark is known to dominate the screen when he's there. Having the always charismatic Robert Downey Jr. as a co-lead means they risk pulling the focus away from Cap a lot more than they have in the past. Yes, at this point, we know what Captain America is about but theres always room for him to develop more and experience personal growth. Surely a conflict with one of his closest friends will do that for him, it would just be a shame if that wasn't highlighted.
