10 Ways Captain America: Civil War Could Be A Disaster

7. Not Enough Baron Zemo

A recurring criticism of the MCU is its consistently lacklustre villains. This won€™t derail a movie on its own, but the lack of a worthy foe often prevents a movie from achieving its fullest potential. So far, for Civil War, it looks as if that trend is set to continue. Baron Zemo is ostensibly the real villain of the film and yet, we haven€™t even glimpsed him or so much as heard Daniel Bruhl utter a word as the character. Considering he's not exactly well-known to the general populace, It€™s unlikely that his reveal is being kept as some huge secret. Conversely, it seems far more plausible that he€™s being withheld because he€™s simply not important enough. Producer Nate Moore recently suggested that Zemo may be being set up for future appearances so this film may simply be establishing him as a a secondary, Earth-bound foe for Infinity War. Regardless of why he hasn€™t been shown, the lack of Zemo in the promotional materials so far is a definitely troubling if it€™s reflective of his use in the film.
