10 Ways Doctor Strange In Spider-Man 3 Changes Everything
3. Reunited With Uncle Ben
How can Spider-Man finally get over what's bordering on being a tedious need for a mentor? Well, how about finally earning forgiveness from his Uncle Ben? In the pages of Amazing Spider-Man #500, Doctor Strange shared a gift with Peter that allowed him to speak with his uncle for a few minutes, and it was there Ben told the hero how proud he was of what he had become.
If Captain America can travel back in time to spend his life with Peggy Carter, why can't Doctor Strange make it so that Peter can finally say goodbye to his uncle...and move on with his life?
This would nicely set the stage for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man to grow up, embracing his life as a superhero, and standing on his own two feet. It's long overdue at this stage, and there's not a fan out there who wouldn't appreciate Marvel Studios finally addressing the character's origin story in a meaningful, emotional way.
This was a great moment in the comics, and one that it would be spectacular to see in the MCU.
