Andrew Garfield has hinted that he'd like to join the Avengers in the role of Spider-Man and it really wouldn't be that difficult to pull off. People will argue that it doesn't make sense for him to have been active in the Marvel Cinematic Universe without having been approached or investigated by S.H.I.E.L.D. or that his battles with Lizard, Electro and Green Goblin wouldn't have attracted the attention of the espionage agency or other heroes. But it's really no different to S.H.I.E.L.D. not being present for Hulk's fight with Abomination, or Hulk not helping Iron Man fight Aldrich Killian, or other heroes not helping Captain America take down HYDRA or Thor take down Malekith.
