6. Bring Tobey Maguire Back

It's a massive outside shot, but if Marvel Studios were to use the Tobey Maguire version of Spider-Man, his last activities were so long ago that they could be explained as being before S.H.I.E.L.D. were as prominent as they are now with regards to keeping tabs on superhumans. S.H.I.E.L.D. have always been around in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it's only since superhuman activity really started becoming commonplace that they've become focused on monitoring, investigating, recruiting and fighting them on a regular basis. If Maguire's version was to be used, they could say he'd been dormant for a couple of years and that S.H.I.E.L.D. had witnessed his earlier activities but lost touch with him after he semi-retired. Maguire is probably too old for it to work, but it could certainly be a contingency option if getting Garfield across to the franchise proves problematic in any way.
