10 Ways To Introduce Spider-Man To The Marvel Cinematic Universe
3. Place His Introduction In Between Amazing Spider-Man & Amazing Spider-Man 2
The chronology of Spider-Man's potential appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could prove problematic to some people. For example, in spite of everything that's been said in this article so far, will fans really believe that Spider-Man had gone about all of his business to date - in both The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - without S.H.I.E.L.D. having contacted him? So, to negate that potential problem and to weave the franchises in a more intimate way, what if Spider-Man's first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was explicitly placed after the events of the first movie and before the events of the second? For instance, S.H.I.E.L.D. could be seen talking to him after he defeated the Lizard and/or he could be seen talking to S.H.I.E.L.D. just prior to taking down down Aleksei Sytsevich at the start of the second Amazing Spider-Man movie. Essentially, his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe wouldn't necessarily have to happen after the events of his second movie, if indeed it would be tidier to do it that way.
