10 Ways Jurassic World Sets Up A Sequel

10. Every Main Character Survives

To date, the Jurassic Park series has been strangely averse to killing off important or meaningful characters: in every movie so far, every character you expect to survive does, and Jurassic World made no effort to break that formula. Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) never had a chance of dying (especially considering Pratt's rising star status), while youngsters Zach (Nick Robinson) and Gray (Ty Simpkins), Owen's tamer buddy Barry (Omar Sy), and park employees Lowery (Jake Johnson) and Vivian (Lauren Lapkus) also made it. With so many now-established characters surviving the day, the creative term certainly have their pick of the litter when it comes to who will return. Chris Pratt is already confirmed to come back (surprise, surprise), while it seems likely that, given their romantic pairing and the lucrative nature of a Jurassic Park pay-day, Howard will probably be back for at least a cameo too. The two kids are decidedly less likely (though Simpkins is in fact signed for an unknown number of sequels), while it would be super-cool to see Lowery return, though it just depends on whether the screenwriters can facilitate a scenario that brings him back without seeming super-contrived.
