3. The "World" In The Title Is A Very Deliberate Hint
Though co-writer-director Colin Trevorrow won't be returning to helm the next movie, he will be staying on in a creative capacity, and was recently interviewed about what might happen. Among his responses, he noted, "There are themes and ideas in here that were setting up, such as the coexistence of these animals on the planet with humans. In the same way that we exist with animals now. And imagine a world where just like, you know, dont go into that jungle, theres tigers in there. Theyre gonna eat you. Just replace that with raptors. And I think we set up ideas in here." The title itself carries a huge hint of where the series might be going, as the director said himself: "I changed the title for a reason. Its not just the name of a theme park, where we coexist with these animals in the way that we do now with other animals in the planet." It's pretty safe to say that from here, the dinosaurs will be spilling out more into the main world populous, which has some terrifying and potentially brilliant implications, as it should see the franchise totally ditching the familiar and moving outside its comfort zone.
